Our colleague Sarah Caré attended the IRSCL 2025 Conference in Salamanca, Spain, which took place between 21 and 25 June. Hosted by the International Research Society for Children’s Literature, the conference inspired Sarah to transform her experience as a participant into a 40-page comic book. It is now available as both a PDF and an online Flipbook.
Sarah’s comic offers a unique and engaging visual reflection on the event, showing how illustration can make academic research more accessible and enjoyable, especially in the field of children’s literature, where visual storytelling plays a key role in how readers connect with texts.
