Marc Kudlowski

Marc is a postdoc at the University of Cologne, Germany, visiting with WONDRE in Spring 2025. In his Ph.D. thesis, forthcoming in Open Access in 2025, he developed a transferable inter-media pedagogy supporting reading fluency and motivation in a young habitual non-reader facing socioeconomic challenges. Marc’s current areas of interest are integrative reading and media didactics and didactic perspectives on text-image narratives. He has also gained extensive experience as an examined teacher of German and mathematics.

Michelle Elisabeth Aagaard David

Michelle, visiting with WONDRE in Spring 2025, holds an M.A. in Cognitive Semiotics from Aarhus University, Denmark. As of 2024, she is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Culture and Language, University of Southern Denmark. Her research explores cognition, reading, and education. Among other things she is conducting cognitive ethnographic research investigating how students aged 10 – 14 years engage in deep reading across different school contexts.
